Hi, I'm running PN 0.76 and TNG 5.0.9. TNG is running fine standalone and I have installed the pnTNG 2.13 connector. I can put TNG on the menu OK, but if I activate any of the blocks my PN homepage just goes blank. If activated the blocks show correct data, so database connection is fine. Could you advise where I'm going wrong? I'm fairly new to PostNuke by the way! Best Wishes, Martin. |

Martin, Can you give me a little more information. 1) I'm confused by the statements "...but if I activate any of the blocks my PN homepage just goes blank. If activated the blocks show correct data, so database connection is fine." Are the blocks in the above statements the same blocks, or is one the main/center pnTNG module? So if you activate the blocks (ThisDay, RandomPhoto,WhatsNew), they show up with the right data, it is just that the center block goes blank? 2) If you click on link in one of the blocks, does it take you to the person in TNG in the center block? 3) Are you using the build in Theme system, or AutoTheme? Could you email your website address at pnTNG@VoigtWorld.com so I can see? |

Hi Wendel, Thanks for the prompt reply. I have now got some content showing in the centre block. It went blank if the opening page was set to 'news' but is OK with the opening page set to 'Gallery'. Links from the blocks seem to work OK. The site is a test site at: www.watson-trant.homeunix.net If you go there and click the 'genealogy' menu item the TNG software doesn't open as a centre block. Can it be made to do that? Like I said, I'm not really up to speed yet with PN. Martin. |

Martin, Something is not quite right with the way pnTNG is being displayed by PostNuke. When you go into your "Genealogy" link, or you take a link from one of the side blocks, TNG should show up in the center block with the other blocks still showing. With your setup, it is losing the left and right blocks. Can you try something? Can you change your theme and see if you see the same thing. - Wendel |

Hi Wendel, No, I get the same result - not sure why. Maybe I set TNG up wrongly - I first installed it in its own directory - /genealogy in the web root where postnuke is. I installed from there OK and got my data in etc. I then installed the pnTNG module into the /modules folder - is that correct? I'm fine to reinstall the whole thing - this is just a test site for me, I have a couple of family sites running Mambo and TNG which I would like to move to PostNuke if I can get these little problems ironed out! I would like to get it displaying as a centre block if that is possible. Thanks for all your help with this.... Martin. |

Hi Wendel, Sorry to bother you again... If I change the template to ExtraLight, then if you click the links the center block is shown, but the sideblocks disappear! I've left it like that if you want to try. Maybe go for a reinstall??? Martin. |

Martin, No, it sounds like you set it in the same directory structure that I did. Can you email me a copy of your pnTNG administration settings to pnTNG@voigtworld.com. Maybe it will provide some more clues. - Wendel |
