Your family has come from Neipperg, Wurtemberg, Germany as did Hieronimus Muller, aka Mueller and his children. My Muller family departed Germany (Prussia) for the Odessa Region of Russia in the early part of the 19th Century. I would like to determine if there are links to your Neipperg Mullers. Any suggestions for researching church records in Neipperg area of Germany.

Regards,
Jack Schafer

Jack,
The information in my database came to me from Dorothea Scott (who has since passed away -- she was a great lady.) She wrote a letter to the parish office in Haberschlacht. She received a reply from a Ben Korte in 1988. Mr. Korte researched the Rueckle/Mueller family in the Neipperg and Haberschlacht church records. I have a copy of the family group sheets he filled in from the records. So I have not researched this myself.

I just now went to http://www.familysearch.org and it looks like they have microfilmed the Neipperg church records. See Kirchenbuch, 1647-1925 So you should be able to order a copy for viewing at a local Family History Center of the Mormons. Total cost is about $5.00. Extra if you print pages.

From past experience it helps to review old German script handwriting. Some of the records can be hard to read.

Wow, it looks like they have the Haberschlacht records too. I guess I have something else to place on my todo list!
