I just upgraded my postnuke site to .761 and at the same time installed the TNG software as well as postnuke integration module. I have run into some major problems however with the integration.

First, when I try to have TNG open within Postnuke, I get the following error message:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in .../public_html/postnuke/modules/Xanthia/pnuserapi.php on line 548

So I am forced to have Postnuke open it in a separate window to get it to work.

Second, if a user is not logged in, the resulting TNG window says "Login Failed" and asks for a Username and Password. I have the following items checked in the pnTNG module:
Open Application Full Screen
Check to allow non-logged in PostNuke user to have TNG Guest access
Create TNG users from PostNuke user information
- Keep TNG user information up to date with changed PostNuke user informaiton
(includes changes to Real Name, website, and email address
- Allow created user to view living
- Allow created user to download GEDCOMs

Third, if I try to activate the What's New block, my site first displays that block only unformatted with the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in ...../public_html/postnuke/includes/blocks/category.php on line 78

If I reopen my page, I just get this error message:

DB Error 1146
File: .../public_html/postnuke/modules/Xanthia/pnclasses/Xanthia.php
Function: init_general_config
Line No: 796
Query: SELECT nuke_theme_config.name, nuke_theme_config.setting FROM nuke_theme_config WHERE nuke_theme_config.skin_id='6'
Message: Table 'hoover_genealogy.nuke_theme_config' doesn't exist

Finally, if I try to activate the Photos block I get the following error messages:

Warning: mysql_result(): 134 is not a valid MySQL result resource in .../public_html/postnuke/modules/pnTNG/pnblocks/RandomPhoto.php on line 139

Warning: mysql_result(): 136 is not a valid MySQL result resource in .../public_html/postnuke/modules/pnTNG/pnblocks/RandomPhoto.php on line 139

Warning: mysql_result(): 138 is not a valid MySQL result resource in .../public_html/postnuke/modules/pnTNG/pnblocks/RandomPhoto.php on line 139

No Photo found

Along with my left menu and the following error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in .../public_html/postnuke/includes/blocks/online.php on line 70

The only way I can get out of any of these Fatal Error messages is to rename the pnTNG folder name so that postnuke won't recognize it while I reset the Admin optins.

The TNG and Postnuke are in two separate directories on the same level and I have two separate databases for postnuke and TNG.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Please send me your email address to pntng@voigtworld.com. There is a known issue with using pnTNG with separate databases for TNG and PostNuke. My ISP forces me to use a single database, so this has had less testing. I have a v2.13alpha that I hope fixes this. I will email it to you to try out.
I'm also running with "Enable support for legacy modules" in the Settings --- it is not clear at the moment if that could also be contributing.

Status update:
We discovered two issues:
1) pnTNG was not working with separate databases for TNG and PostNuke.
2) pnTNG was not creating the "Guest" user ID in TNG.

Fixes for both issues can be found in pnTNG 2.13
