I cant get it to work. I have tried many variations of my path but all i get is a blank center block. My site address is:
http://vanburkleo.mytwg.org
TNG is here: http://vanburkleo.mytwg.org/genealogy
the folder path to TNG as shown via ftp is /httpdocs/genealogy
postnuke is at /httpdocs
any ideas??

The entries should be:
genealogy and genealogy
no trailing / no leading ..'s or /'s

Also check to make sure you copied the index_pn.php file from the pnTNG/TNG folder to your genealogy folder.

BTW, I like your site. It looks great!

ok made the changes to the path genealogy
index_pn is in genealogy folder
still only a blank center block

one thing, in the TNG settings the root folder is set to :
/home/httpd/vhosts/vanburkleo.mytwg.org/httpdocs/genealogy/
TNG set this, I didn't, and TNG works if I go directly to it.

??

I have similar settings in my TNG config.php for the root folder.

What version of PostNuke are you running?
Also, on Windows or Linux?

Also, if you add one of the blocks, do you see any data --- this will help narrow down if pnTNG can get to the files it needs to know where your data is.

Just trying to be a bit clearer here. I want to confirm that you have the following in your pnTNG adin screen:
The Location of the TNG installation relative to http://www.sitename.com/ genealogy
The system dirctory location of the TNG installation genealogy

although the last entry should work with /home/httpd/vhosts/vanburkleo.mytwg.org/httpdocs/genealogy (no trailing /) as well.

The first two fields of pnTNG just say: genealogy

I just tried the blocks and they dont work either.

Birthdays

Error in accessing the TNG table. Table 'vanburkleo.tng_people' doesn't exist

I have a seperate database called: vbgenealogy
the postnuke .761 database is called: vanburkleo

the field in pnTNG for the database says: vbgenealogy

its a linux host

hope that helps

And I take it the same happens if you put /home/httpd/vhosts/vanburkleo.mytwg.org/httpdocs/genealogy
in the second field.

Can you please send me your email address at pntng@VoigtWorld.com. I would like to send you a modified file to see if we can figure out what's going on.

An update on the status. We uncoverd two issues:
1) currently pnTNG does not support running from two separate databases for TNG and PostNuke. If you use a single database for both it works. I hope to release an update to fix this soon.
2) The iframe to display TNG inside PostNuke is not working for this installation. We are still working on this one.

Status update:
1) Fixes to allow the use of separate PostNuke and TNG databases can be found in pnTNG 2.13
2) A theme problem was causing this problem. No changes to pnTNG were required.

I just wanted to say thanks to Wendel for all his help and hard work trying to fix my problems with pnTNG. Come to find out it wasnt a pnTNG problem after all. I changed theme engines and the module works great. Thanks!!
