| Why church records aren’t there Oct 07, 2008 - 08:12 AM DearREADERS, For comic relief Ol’ Myrt here reads until she falls asleep. At any given point in time, some three to five books are found on the floor at the side of my bed. I used to put them on the night stand, but when an avalanche ensued in the middle of the night a few years back, I decided to forego the possibility of another rude awakening where ... |
| Mavericks Can Be Democrats Oct 06, 2008 - 11:35 PM An interesting article this weekend in the New York Times about the original mavericks:In the 1800s, Samuel Augustus Maverick went to Texas and became known for not branding his cattle. | Meetings in a Virtual World Oct 05, 2008 - 05:34 PM While the cost of traveling - even short distances - continues to climb, the costs of communicating online are still very reasonable. | Adventures in FamilySearch Indexing - Week 60 Oct 05, 2008 - 04:54 PM I am watching LDS Genealogy Conference while I am indexing today. True, he’s acknowledged that global warming exists and torture is mean. And yes, he can take six men to the ground using only a shoe horn and length of dental tape. But as much as we’d love to share a surname with the most powerful man in the ... |
