      Wilfred worked at the same location for 41 years before retirement. He started working there the day after his High School graduation.

      Funeral arrangements are complete at the Zoeller Funeral Home for Wilfred G. Voigt who passed away on Dec. 19, 2003 at his residence in Marion, Texas, at the age of 66 years.
      Mr. Voigt was preceded in death by his parents, Ernst C. Voigt and Anita Eckermann Voigt and brother, Wilbert Voigt.
      He is survived by his beloved wife, Lois N. Voigt; daughter, Donna M. Porterie and husband Wayne M. Porterie of New Braunfels; son, Wendel G. Voigt and wife Lynne’ L. Voigt of Pflugerville; sisters, Lillian Kunkel of Karnes City, Lucille Weniger of Beeville, Amy Mapes and husband Delmar of Austin, Charlene Spillmann of Kyle and Janice Kroesche and husband Leslie of New Braunfels; brother in law, James Allen Winkler and wife Pat of Schertz; Father and Mother In Law, Joe J. and Katie Winkler of San Antonio; also grandchildren, Lauren and William Voigt and Wesley and Wade Porterie.
      Mr. Voigt was known as “Uncle Witty” to his numerous nieces and nephews. A lifetime resident of the New Braunfels area, he retired from what is now Chemical Lime after 41 years of service and was also a lifetime farmer.
      Serving as pallbearers will be Gerald Weniger, Brian Mapes, Mark Mapes, Michael Kroesche, Daryl Spillman and Joseph A. Winkler.
      Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003, at the Zoeller Funeral Home and continue until service time on Monday. A rosary will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, for a 10 a.m. Mass at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
      Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.
      Memorial contributions may be in memory of Mr. Voigt to Hope Hospice, Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church Building Fund or the charity of one’s choice. For more information, please visit our Web site at www.mem.com.
