    1. [S389] Letter from E.J. Hierholzer to Wendel Voigt, Hierholzer, E.J., (Letter: Floresville, Texas), [Straach pp. 7-8], 14 May 1986.
Wilhelmina Straach Nagle told E.J. stories about the family and had pictures of the family home and family gravestones. "[Gottlieb Straach's] mother, Katherina Straach, who lived with the family, died Dec. 7, 1889 (the year was 1889, I believe the Dec. 7 date is also correct), and she said they had delayed going to America as long as the grandmother was living. I believe the gravestone gave the year of the grandmother's birth as 1807." He also believes that it states that she was the widow of Martin Straach.

    2. [S389] Letter from E.J. Hierholzer to Wendel Voigt, Hierholzer, E.J., (Letter: Floresville, Texas), [Straach ], 14 May 1986.
Wilhelmina Straach Nagle showed E.J. pictures of the Straach home in Senst and family gravestones. E.J. believes that Gottlieb Straach's mother, Katherina Straach's gravestone stated that she was the widow of Martin Straach.
