the text of the statement is as follows: "My name is John Pawvlik. I reside in Jim Wells County, Texas. I was born in Karnes County, Texas, October 6th, 1891. I am a full brother of Teofel Pawvlik. Our father was Frank Pawvlik, now dead and our mother was Mary Pawvlik, now dead. According to our family history as handed down to us by our said parents, there were eleven children in all born to our said parents. Two of these children are now dead. Teofel Pawvlik is the oldest child. According to our family history he was born in Poland Dec. 3, 1883. An older sister, Gertrude Pawvlik, now Gertrude Hahn was also born in Poland. All of the other children of our said father and mother were born in this country. In 1906 I was fifteen years old and was old enough at that time to know, and did know at that time, that my said brother Teofel Pawvlik had then been in this country many years prior to 1906. My earliest recollection dates back to the time I was 5 years old, and I can remember that the whole family, including my brother Teofel Pawvlik were living in this country at that time. (Signed) John Pawlik Sworn to and subscribed on this the 5th day of May, A.D. 1951"
