Penshorn, 90, of Marion, passed away May 9, 2003. He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Viola Gerhart Penshorn. He is survived by his daughters, Lorine Howell of Pinedale, Calif., Irene Haecker and husband, Arthur, of Marion, Carolyn Abel of New Braunfels and Betty Kriewald and husband, Gerald, of Marion; sons, Jimmie Penshorn and wife, Jerry, of Marion, and Leroy Penshorn and wife, Leona, of McQuenney; sister, Ora Lee Bielke of Schertz; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his granddaughter Teri Lackey; and sons-in-law Ray Howell and Jerry Abel. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2003, at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2003, at St. John Lutheran Church in Marion. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to: St. John Lutheran Church. Arrangements are with Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas 78154.
