      Bertha Faye was confirmed in Nov 1964. As a child she enjoyed horses and participated in trail rides. She was chosen Rodeo Queen at the Austin Co. Fair. She also exhibited steers and hogs at the Austin Co. Fair Livestock Show. She always enjoyed pets and even played with non-poisonous snakes. She played the piano and performed musical numbers with her husband Don. She also liked sports and played baseball. After graduation she worked in the New Ulm State Bank, worked with the Brenham Independent School District as a teacher aide, was a Home Interiors and Gifts displayer, and served as director of the Industry United Methodist Church Child Care Center.
