      Tillie Pawlik, 94, died Sunday, May 14, 2000. She was born Nov. 7, 1905, to Pete and Annie Burda of Yorktown. In 1925, she married Anton Pawlik and moved to George West. She was a member of St. George Catholic Church for more than 70 years. Mrs. Pawlik was engaged in raising cattle until retiring at the age of 87.
      She was preceded in death by her husband in 1963; a daughter, Margaret; four grandchildren; and two sons-in-law. Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Valeria and Lowell Parrish Jr. of Farmington, N.M., Georgia and Nelson Morris of Sandia and Joyce and Jerry Russell of Canton; five sons and their wives, Daniel and Evelin Pawlik of Pearsall, Everest and Mary Ann Pawlik, Edward and Patsy Pawlik and James and Janet Pawlik, all of George West, and Robert and Carol Pawlik of Three Rivers; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
      Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at St. George Church. Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. George. Burial followed in the St. George Cemetery. Pallbearers were six of her grandsons, Mark Brown, Robert Gideon and Danny, Phil, Keith, Wayne and Dwayne Pawlik. All her other grandchildren were honorary pallbearers.
