COMMENT: Martin Kortz (her Grandfather) was killed with an axe by Nellie Kortz's son from a previous marriage. The son made his mother clean up the mess, and then took her to San Antonio for hiding since she was the only witness. Martin was killed because he asked for money to buy a new suit.
