      Source given as church records of the village Westerwald (found at the Lutheran Church in Hattendorf, Schaumburg-Lippe, Germany.) The village of Westerwald, county Schaumburg, state of Hessen is today known as Westerwald, county of Schaumburg-Lippe, state of Lower Saxony. Christopher Johann owned a small farm at Westerwald. Between the year 1831 and 1857, he built the Westerwald House #8. Until then, the small village of Westerwald hand only seven houses. In the year 1939, Westerwald hand only 12 houses, had 73 inhabitants with no shops or schools.
